For all of you wonderful Warriors of Light here at Kaisou, please use this post to add any tidbits of lore involving Thancred for your WoLs story! Things he might know about your character, extra side quests, things like that!

I will promise to do my best, but may not remember everything... please consider that brain damage from being pulled to too many different worlds.

mostly i've just got what's in her infopost, most notably 'she used to fake her persona and hide her accent and none of the scions bought that bullshit after a while'. she's mostly a rogue until 5.3 when she picked up RDM and also co-tanks when the plot requires as a fellow GNB.

The man thing Thancred would know is that he was one of the first Scions Takame told about his past with Garlemald being a soldier for them in Doma. Aside from that just follow his normal self and whatever main wol path dictates.

Small additional thing but as Takame was learning GNB between SHB patches and EW he would have reached out to Thancred for some help on that front.

Amal has an info post with his past mentioned here. Please mind the content warnings (though I don't go into detail). Thancred would know about all of this either because Amal told him or he put the clues together-- his back scars are very noticeably ones caused by a whip.

We already talked about it a bit but Amal also took some gladiator lessons from Thancred starting in Shadowbringers because everyone got tired of seeing a dancer tanking.

The greatest canon deviation besides Ishgard, where he ran into quite a bit of trouble as a half-Elezen and got into a LOT of brawls, is in the Thavnair portion of Endwalker's MSQ. He's Hannish, so... you know. It went something like this:

Amal realizes they need to go to Thavnair and that means actually coming clean about his past.

He tells the Scions that he has a bounty on his head from several SEVERAL years ago for crimes, mostly stealing, and braces himself for impact. Everyone stares at him like "yeah duh?" because Thancred got into trouble for the same thing ages and ages ago. Much relief is had. There's still a risk of arrest though so Amal's worried.

While the welcome party goes to Thavnair via the experimental aetheryte, Amal just meets them there since he attuned a long time ago. Everyone else is keeling over trying not to throw up but Estinien is pretty used to this, so he and Amal have a good talk.

No one seems to recognize Amal at first or really care, though Nahbdeen gives him a side eye.

Once they meet the "real" satrap, Amal is absolutely fucking floored. But Vrtra says that his deeds have been proven as a Scion, and he earnestly asks for Amal to help his people despite the way he may have been treated in the past.

Amal goes with the others and tells the Scions that he's all in when it comes to helping Thavnair after all. It's his home.

When the tower has been taken out, Vrtra pardons him officially.

Thavnair Part II doesn't have any major differences.

After the end of Endwalker there's some other minor stuff-- Amal is offered an apartment in Radz-at-Han, and he's in talks/planning with Vrtra about how to handle the situation with the less fortunate in the city since he was an orphan himself.
